What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is the practice of medicine and is used to provide and aid in the provision of patient care remotely. It uses information and communication technologies such as telephone, email and video conferencing.
Please note, Telehealth is not a substitute for in- person physical examinations. Patients needs are assessed on a case by case basis and an in- person visit may be required.
Is Telehealth Covered by OHIP?
Yes, in Ontario Telehealth is covered by OHIP. Please have a valid health card available for the time of your appointment.
Patients must only consent once for ongoing virtual care and their consent will be documented in their medical records.
